Lev Mandel
I was the fifth employee at a company that made two hugely successful games on Facebook. While I was working at the office one night, we received an offer to be acquired. If accepted, my financial picture was going to dramatically improve.
So it surprised me that I felt sad. I realized I had no idea what I would do with the money, because I had no idea what I liked to do; all I did was work. I didn’t know what brought me joy, meaning, or what my purpose was.
I left the company long before an acquisition. I knew I needed to make space to figure out what was meaningful to me. I started Apteron in order to create a space for clients to find clarity and purpose, and to be intentional with their time and money.
My most treasured roles are those of father and husband. As it turns out, I also like long-distance running.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and Master’s degree from the London School of Economics. I hold the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation, along with FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, and a California Insurance License.
